Knowledge
Knowledge is written context about your data — what a column means, how your company defines “active customer”, which table is the source of truth. The agent reads it in every conversation. A connected AI assistant receives both documents with the results of its tools, so it applies them too; it can also read both and update the project document. Open Knowledge in the sidebar.
Where: Knowledge in the sidebar (a project must be selected) → the Project or Workspace tab at the top of the page.
There are two documents:
| Tab | Read in | Who can edit |
|---|---|---|
| Project | Every conversation in this project. | Analysts and above. |
| Workspace | Every project of the workspace — industry, vocabulary, shared definitions. | Admins and Owners. |
Everyone in the project can read both.
Write it
Where: Knowledge → the tab. With no document yet, Create document and Upload file are the two cards in the middle of the page; once one exists, Edit, Upload file and Delete are the pencil, upload and trash icons at the top right of the document. They are hidden from anyone who cannot edit that document. Write and Preview are the tabs at the top of the editor.
- Create document and write in Markdown; switch between Write and Preview.
- Or Upload file: a
.md,.markdownor.txtfile. Uploading over an existing document asks before replacing it. - Edit or Delete it at any time. The page shows who updated it last and when.
Each document can be up to 100 KB.
What to put in it
Short, factual notes help most: definitions of your key metrics, what each important table holds, known data quirks (“orders before 2021 have no region”), and the questions the project is meant to answer.
