Data Shares

A data share gives another project read access to selected tables of yours, without copying them into a new source. Managing shares needs the Admin role in the project that shares.

Where: Operations → Data Shares in the sidebar, with a project open; greyed out for roles below Admin. Add Share, Edit Tables and Revoke are on each project’s row under Workspace Projects; Share with External Project is the button under External Projects. Your own project’s ID is also at the top of this page, as Provider Project ID (yours).

Open Data Shares in the sidebar:

  • Workspace Projects — share with another project of the same workspace: Add Share, choose the tables, and later Edit Tables or Revoke.
  • External Projects — Share with External Project, entering the other project’s Consumer Project ID. Every project shows its own ID in Settings → Data Shares (Your Project ID (Provider)), so ask the other project’s admins to copy it from there.

Shared tables can be used to build results tables in the receiving project. A table cannot be shared back the way it came, and shares cannot form a loop through other projects.

If a share is revoked, or a shared table disappears, the results tables built on it are marked Outdated.
