How your data is organized

  • A workspace holds your team’s members, plan, workspace knowledge and monthly report, and one or more projects.
  • A project holds its members, project knowledge, refresh schedule and audit log, and your data, which flows in this order:
    1. Sources — where your data lives.
    2. Raw tables — the data as it arrived.
    3. Processed tables — the data cleaned and documented.
    4. Results tables — your saved analyses.
    5. Dashboards — charts built on results tables.

Workspace

A workspace is where your team works with Teramot: you connect data sources, explore insights and work with the agent there. It holds the plan you are billed for, the members and their roles, and one or more projects. Whoever creates a workspace is its first Owner. From 1 November 2026, a new workspace on Free starts its 30-day free trial when its first source or file is connected.

Project

A project belongs to one workspace and holds everything about one body of data: its sources, tables, results tables, dashboards, knowledge, refresh schedule and audit log. Workspace members are members of every project in it; a project can also have members of its own.

A workspace can also have a Workspace Insights project, which Teramot keeps with the workspace’s own activity and nobody can change — see Workspace Insights.

Sources

A source is one connection to where your data lives — a database, an application such as Salesforce or HubSpot, a cloud location such as a BigQuery dataset or a Google Sheet, or files you upload. You choose which of the source’s tables Teramot loads. See Connect your data.

The three kinds of tables

When a source is loaded, Teramot produces tables in three stages. For any results table, the Lineage in its Creation Details shows the Input tables it is built from.

KindWhat it isIn Data Studio
Raw tablesYour data exactly as it arrived from the source. Not listed
Processed tablesThe same data cleaned, made consistent and validated, every column described. Teramot writes this cleanup for you.Cleaned tables
Results tablesSaved analyses built on processed tables with your business logic and metrics — a monthly revenue breakdown, a churn list. Ready for BI, AI and apps. Results tables

Results tables are what you build, refresh, download and put on dashboards. See Results tables.

A project can also receive tables that another project shares with it. Shared processed tables appear under Cleaned tables, grouped under the project’s name when it shares several, and shared results tables under Results tables — see Data Shares.

Dashboards

A dashboard presents one or more results tables as charts and figures. See Dashboards.
